Innovations in the microfinance program planned for the coming year
We work with domestic financial institutions which focus on micro-, small and medium enterprises and low income households with the aim of fostering job creation and access to goods of first necessity. By broadening and deepening the access to capital to microfinance institutions as well as other financial institutions such as SME banks, leasing and factoring companies, to finance an array of Symbiotics is driven by four core themes, that will be further developed in the coming years: FOOD - Microfinance supports rural activities, farmlands and livestock, agribusiness, food processing and small distribution; HOMES - Microfinance supports housing and access to property, home constructions and refurbishments, as well as small local infrastructure; JOBS - Microfinance supports employment and entrepreneurship; ENERGY - Microfinance supports technology transfer, development and distribution at the bottom of the pyramid, in particular in relation to energy efficiency, renewable energy and clean tech.
