The 8th European Research Conference on Microfinance with the theme "Microfinance and Transition: Exploring Pathways for Economic, Social, and Environmental Transformations” takes place 24th-26th June 2024 at the University of Bergamo, Italy. The conference is organised by the University of Bergamo in cooperation with CERMi and the European Microfinance Platform.
The 8th European Research Conference on Microfinance with the theme "Microfinance and Transition: Exploring Pathways for Economic, Social, and Environmental Transformations” takes place 24th-26th June 2024 at the University of Bergamo, Italy. The conference is organised by the University of Bergamo in cooperation with CERMi and the European Microfinance Platform.
Since it was created in 2009, the European Research Conference on Microfinance is an opportunity for researchers, students and professionals from all over the world to come together in order to share and discuss about their latest advances in microfinance and financial inclusion.
For this 2024 edition, as in previous conferences, there will be a combination of plenary and parallel sessions. And we are excited to share that the keynote speakers at the conference have been announced and include:
Prof Claudio Gonzalez-Vega, Professor Emeritus The Ohio State University
Craig Churchill, Chief of the Social Finance Programme and Team Leader of ILO's Impact Insurance Facility
Dr Kalliopi Letsiou, Cambridge SupTech Lab
